Once again, Sharp, a leader in LCD technology, establishes a new design standard for LCD TVs. With a screen size class of 52", the AQUOS LC-52XS1US raises the bar by fitting large screen sizes into incredibly small footprints. By changing the layout of circuits inside the LCD panel and by reducing the number of parts, Sharp engineers developed the Slim-line design, which reduces depth by 25%, allowing placement of the LC-52XS1US in virtually any setting.
1,000,000:1 TV Contrast: TV contrast reaches more than 1,000,000:1* with its next generation MegaASV LCD, which divides the image minutely and with highly precise, optimal control of the LCD and backlight in each area. By eliminating unnecessary light emission, a black which was previously considered difficult for flat-screen TV's can be produced, and the result is sharp, authentic 3-D effect.
High Degree of Light emission The Next generation MegaASV LCD uses LED's for the three primary colors of light at the light source. Each color is driven independently, giving the LCD a high degree of light emission purity and expanding the range of reproducible color to 150% of NTSC.
2.28 thin LCD panel The-state-of-the-art technology at the Kameyama Plant, consisting of the integrated production from the manufacture of LCD panels to the final assembly of the TV's, has made possible a width of 2.28cm at the thinnest point, even for the 52V-inch large screen unit.
High Precision Screen The LCD and Backlight are controlled minutely and with high precision.
